Johann Wallner is the owner and above all, chef with heart and soul. His passion for cooking, as well as the many years of experience in Austria and abroad, as chef de cuisine and now as an entrepreneur are reflected in our menu.
You will find traditional Austrian cuisine as well as inventive dishes, made from quality ingredients. The products we use are obtained primarily from the region, as well as from our little garden.

 REGIONAL – SEASONAL

With the seasons changing, so does our menu. Asparagus, wild garlic, chanterelles or rhubarb must be served freshly. Using seasonal products is important for us and we only utilize them, when available. Furthermore, we offer a range of unusual titbits. From the classic Salzburger Nockerl to a genuine pig snout.

THE PROPER DRINK.

No matter if chosing à la carte or half board, to every good meal belongs a suitable drink. Fruit juices from Styrian farmers, selected wines from Austria, as well as local beer and gentian soda from Mauterndorf. And to call it a day: schnaps from our range of local artisan liqueurs.
Take a seat in one of our cosy dining rooms. In cold Lungau winters at the heated tiled stove, in summer in the shadow of the chestnut tree in our guest garden.
