From an inn and brewery to a cozy three-star hotel. Since 1991 we have modernized the house step by step, according to our ideas, maintaining its uniqueness. Traditional and yet contemporary.
We can’t pinpoint the exac year anymore, but according to the Mauterndorf chronicle, our house was built in the middle of the 16th century. It was run as an inn from the start. For a long time it was managed in connection to a farm and even today “horse and rider” are well taken care of.
Our cozy hotel has 16 rooms, offering space for about 40 people. We offer you a personal atmosphere all year round in a house that is a an original, thanks to its long history and hosts. Whether small and cozy or spacious with a couch, all our rooms are individually designed according to the spatial conditions of the historic building.

Taking the road. From Obertauern via Pörtschach to Arosa in Switzerland and around the world for a year on a cruise ship. Having gained a lot of experience, one day it was time to realize our own ideas and dare to take the step into self-employment. The multitude of cultural and culinary impressions can be found in our business today. The joy of cooking and helping our guests to have a good time have remained to this day.
